And some herbal supplements have been known to have dangerous interactions when taken with other drugs.

 

Since herbal supplements are readily available in Western countries, especially in the U.S., most people assume that they are safe to use, ergo, harmless. Thus, as a consequence, they employ these so-called “safe” herbal supplements in self-treatments for a variety of conditions and for boosting their body’s overall function. However, herbal supplements or plain herbs may cause serious interactions, especially with new-generation drugs that contain chemicals. 

 

An herbal nutrition supplement is basically a supplement or medicine that is derived from natural sources and is intended for as a good health aid. Even though herbal nutrition supplements are labeled as “herbal” or “natural”, it does not mean that they are indeed safe and effective.  There are some studies that have shown how herbal nutrition supplements affect the overall health when it is used improperly.
